Red Gate Farm often has TIP-gentled horses available for adoption. If you see a horse on our page that picques your interest, we are happy to have you come out and see it for yourself, watch us work with it, and walk you through the adoption process. If you are approved, we are even happy to work out delivery with you if needed (for a mileage fee), to make the process as easy for you as possible! Although we like to assign a name to horses in training for our own identification purposes, you are always welcome to choose your own name after adoption!
For more information on how to adopt, see our TIP Adoption page for all details. You can also check out our FAQ page for common questions regarding wild mustangs, our TIP horses, and the adoption process.
*Currently, we train horses to load into a stock-type trailer, so if you choose to pick them up yourself, in MOST cases you will need a stock-type or minimum 3-horse slant load with the dividers fully opened, unless otherwise noted. The available floor space should be a minimum of roughly 12' x 6'. As a general rule, we load horses loose for travel, so we will not load horses into a 2-horse straight load, or any trailer with windows/gap openings greater than 12 inches. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
We update details regularly. If there are no horses currently available, keep checking, as we bring in new loads to gentle every month or two! If you are looking for something specific, feel free to reach out. We often select horses out of holding, specifically for adopters!
